How to delete your data from IGBot

At IGBot, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your data. This page explains how you can delete your data from our service, in compliance with Facebook/Instagram Platform Policies and applicable privacy laws.

Option 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete all your data is to delete your IGBot account. This will permanently remove:

Your account information (email, username, preferences)
Your Instagram connection and access tokens
All your posts synced from Instagram
All automation rules you've created
All message logs and delivery history
Your subscription and billing information

Steps to Delete Your Account:

Log in to your IGBot account at igbot.net/portal/login.html
Go to Settings in the sidebar menu
Click on the Security tab
Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
Click the "Delete Account" button
Enter your password to confirm
Click "Delete My Account" to permanently delete all your data

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to download your data first if you need a copy.

Option 2: Download Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you may want to download a copy of your data:

Log in to your IGBot account
Go to Settings > Security tab
In the Danger Zone section, click "Download Data"
A JSON file containing all your data will be downloaded

Option 3: Disconnect Instagram Only

If you want to revoke IGBot's access to your Instagram account without deleting your IGBot account:

Log in to your IGBot account
Go to Settings > Profile tab
In the Instagram Account section, click "Disconnect"

You can also revoke access directly from Instagram:

Open the Instagram app
Go to Settings > Security > Apps and Websites
Find IGBot and click "Remove"

Option 4: Contact Us

If you're unable to access your account or need assistance with data deletion, you can contact us directly:

Please include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What Happens After Deletion

Your data is immediately removed from our active systems
Any active Stripe subscription is automatically canceled
Backup copies (if any) are deleted within 30 days
We retain no personal data after the deletion process completes

Third-Party Data

Please note that deleting your IGBot account does not delete:

Data stored by Instagram/Meta (manage this in your Instagram settings)
Payment records retained by Stripe for legal/tax purposes
Emails already sent to your inbox
